Suspected measles patients have been found in various schools of Ward No. 1 Kopundol of Lalitpur Metropolitan Municipality. So far, the reports of 10 students who have shown symptoms have been sent to National Public Health Laboratory Teku and Patan Hospital for testing.
In an emergency meeting chaired by Nirmal Tandukar, Ward President of Lalitpur Metropolitan City 1 Ward on Monday, it was decided to proceed with the mobilization of health personnel, data collection, administration of medicine, public awareness program for measles disease control and prevention.
 
In order to control and prevent the epidemic of measles and rubella, it is said that preparations are being made to close schools that are sick.
 
According to Maghukarmani Acharya, Head of Basic Health Center 1 Ward, since measles is a communicable disease, if symptoms of measles are present, they have been requested to stay in isolation and inform the ward immediately.
